Winter Deadlines (December-February)


Robert Mack Scholarships
Deadline: February 15, 2025
Amount: $2,000; 3 awards
  • Grade transcripts from most recent school (GPA). Grades should be from the ninth grade through the first semester (or first two quarters of the twelfth grade, or the most current for persons enrolled in courses of study beyond the twelfth grade.
  • Community Service must be detailed. Use separate sheet if necessary.
  • Essays, brief in nature, are required of all applicants. Essays should be entitled, "What does education mean to me?" What are my goals in the field of healthcare engineering? The essay should be clearly organized to define your goals and be grammatically correct.
  • Letters of Reference, a minimum of three required, one of which must be related to your school activities. A principal, teacher, coach or counselor is acceptable. The other two letters of reference must be from people who can speak to the applicant’s character. If employed, one must be from a supervisor.

The Dream.US Scholarship
Dealing: February 28, 2025 

The following are the requirements for the 2025-2026 Round: Applications are open to undocumented immigrant students with or without DACA or TPS who came to the U.S. before the age of 16 and before Nov. 1, 2019. The National Scholarship Award will cover your tuition and fees at one of our Partner Colleges up to a maximum of $33,000 for a bachelor’s degree.

Young Trailblazers Scholarship
Deadline: February 21, 2025
The LIVE OUT LOUD Young Trailblazers Scholarship was created to provide financial support to LGBTQ+ identifying youth with financial need. Through this scholarship, LGBTQ+ youth can apply for funds to pay for education-related expenses to pursue a degree from an accredited college, university, or technical/vocational program. This year Live Out Loud is awarding scholarships of $5,000.00.

​Gordon A. Rich Memorial Scholarship
Amount: $50,000; 9 awards.
Deadline: February 20th, 2025
To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:
A) Be a graduating high school senior who plans to enroll as a full time student in pursuit of a four-year
bachelor's degree at an accredited college/university in the United States.
B) Have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) and rank in the top 20% of their class.

​Coast Guard Exchange Scholarship Program 
(Deadline: Feb 28, 2025) 

- $2,000 - 20 Awards 

The Program provides scholarships to students who are dependents of Coast Guard active duty, reserve, and military retired members, current civilian NAF and APF employees, and current Coast Guard Auxiliarists that meet the following eligibility requirements:
The applicant must be in the last year of high school or homeschooling and scheduled to graduate and attend college full-time during the subsequent year.  Those who have already graduated are not eligible to apply.
Students must plan to attend an accredited college or university for undergraduate studies.  Scholarships will not be awarded for participation in nonacademic and/or certified programs.  Students accepting appointments to USAFA, USNA, USMA, USCGA, or USMMA are not eligible.

Fred M. Young Sr. Engineering Scholarship
(Deadline: Feb 28, 2025) 

- $1,000 - 1 Award

The Young Radiator Co. established this scholarship in memory of the company's founder, Fred M. Young Sr. who started the company in 1927 and saw it grow to become a major force in the field of heat transfer. He had a high regard for the value of engineering in terms of its contribution to the success of society and the future engineering workforce, which is supported through this scholarship.

  • Incoming Freshman
  • Minimum unweighted 3.75 grade point average
  • Pursue an engineering or related science degree through a U.S. ABET accredited program with an interest in mobility (Automotive, Ground or Air)
  • Provide two (2) Letters of Recommendation - one (1) that focuses on academics and one (1) that speaks to your involvement in extra-curricular activities or employment
  • Serve in a leadership role inside or outside of school and be able to outline how your leadership skills were developed, the size of the team(s) led and how your personal leadership skills will benefit you in your future career.
  • Must be able to detail how 2 traits of an engineer apply to them.

Union Plus Scholarship

This is a competitive scholarship. Applicants are evaluated according to academic ability, social awareness, financial need and appreciation of labor. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is recommended.
