Ascend Educational Fund Scholarship Program A non profit that provides scholarships to high schools seniors of immigrant backgrounds in New York City regardless of national origin, ethnicity, and immigration status. They will provide two-year or four-year college scholarships to promising immigrant students in New York City who were either born outside the U.S or have two parents born outside the U.S in the range of $2500-$20000.

Will graduate from a high school in NYC
Will enroll full-time at an accredited public or private college in 2021-2022
Demonstrates qualities traditionally valued by the immigrant community; hard work; resourcefulness, perseverance in the face of adversity, academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to one's community.
Ascend Scholarship Fund Scholarship This Spring Ascend Educational Fund will award scholarships ranging from $2500 to $20,000 to immigrant students and children of immigrants who are graduating from a New York City high school to attend public or private colleges and universities, regardless of ethnicity, national origin, or immigration status. Must be graduating senior at a high school in the 5 boroughs of NYC
Must enroll full-time at an accredited public or private college or university in 2021-2022
Columbus Citizens Foundation Recipients will be able to receive a four-year scholarship that helps underwrite the cost of their college tuition. The scholarships, while generous, provide assistance towards tuition but will not cover payment for all school costs. Eligibility
Students who are of Italian descent (at least 25% Italian)
A cumulative GPA of 3.0 (85% or B) or higher
Households where the total gross income does not exceed $25,000 per capita ($25,000 per person in the household) are eligible. For example, for a household of four, the maximum total gross income is $100,000 to be eligible.
Only seniors in high school who will enter college as freshmen in Fall 2020 are eligible. Students who are already in college are NOT eligible to receive a CCF college scholarship.
Students must be citizens of the United States or residents of same status.
NYS Scholarships for Academic Excellence This program provides scholarship assistance to outstanding New York State high school graduates. Each year, 8,000 scholarships are awarded - up to 2,000 scholarships of $1,500 and 6,000 scholarships of $500 to top scholars from registered New York State high schools. Awards are based on student grades in certain Regents exams. Recipients can also receive other non-loan student aid, but the total cannot exceed the cost of attendance. Students must:
Have graduated from a New York State high school
Study full time and be matriculated in an approved undergraduate program of study in a New York State post secondary institution
Be in good academic standing
Not be in default on any State or federal student loan or on any repayment of state awards
Moody’s Mega Math Challenge $125,000 in Scholarship prizes ranging from $1000 to $20,000 is available to teams of high school juniors and seniors. Banyan Scholarship for South Asian Americans This scholarship, dedicated to students who are of South Asian origin or descent from low-income families, will be awarded to New York City high school seniors attending college in Fall 2020. Grants between $2,000 and $10,000 will be awarded annually for up to five students, and may be renewable for a total of four years based on good academic standing.
Be of South Asian origin/descent (countries include India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal)
Be a citizen, national or legal permanent resident of the United States.
Have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
Show annual family household income to be below $75,000
Have two recommendation letters submitted on their behalf.
Be applying to full-time undergraduate programs in a U.S. accredited 4-year college or university for Fall 2020.
